1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Use constitute a legally binding agreement made between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity (“you”) and Kyle Greig, trading as BlazeDocs (“we”, “us”, or “our”), a sole trader operating from the United Kingdom. These terms govern your access to and use of the https://blazedocs.io website as well as any other media form, related channel, API, or application related, linked, or otherwise connected thereto (collectively, the “Services”).

By accessing the Services, you agree that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by all of these Terms of Use. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH ALL OF THESE TERMS OF USE, THEN YOU ARE EXPRESSLY PROHIBITED FROM USING THE SERVICES AND YOU MUST DISCONTINUE USE IMMEDIATELY.

2. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms of Use at any time at our sole discretion. We will indicate the date of the last revision by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Changes are effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the Services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.

3. Our Services & AI Disclaimer

BlazeDocs provides an AI-powered service that converts PDF documents into Markdown format, along with document classification, data extraction, chart analysis, summarisation, and conversational Q&A features. By using our Services, you acknowledge and agree that:

• The conversion and analysis is performed by artificial intelligence and automated systems, including third-party AI providers (such as Mistral AI and Google Gemini).
• We do not guarantee 100% accuracy, completeness, or formatting fidelity of any AI-generated output.
• You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and editing the generated output before relying on it for any personal, professional, or commercial use.
• AI-generated responses in the document chat feature are based on the content of your documents and may not always be accurate or complete.

4. Intellectual Property Rights

Unless otherwise indicated, all source code, databases, functionality, software, website designs, audio, video, text, photographs, and graphics on the Services (collectively, the “Content”) and the trademarks, service marks, and logos contained therein are owned or controlled by us or licensed to us, and are protected by copyright and trademark laws.

Your Documents: You retain all intellectual property rights to the original PDF documents you upload and the resulting Markdown output generated from your documents. We claim no ownership over your original or converted documents.

5. User Representations

By using the Services, you represent and warrant that:

• You have the legal capacity and you agree to comply with these Terms of Use.
• You are not a minor in the jurisdiction in which you reside.
• You will not access the Services through automated or non-human means, whether through a bot, script, or otherwise, unless expressly permitted via our API (see Section 8).
• You will not use the Services for any illegal or unauthorised purpose.
• Your use of the Services will not violate any applicable law or regulation.

6. Prohibited Activities

You may not access or use the Services for any purpose other than that for which we make the Services available. As a user of the Services, you agree not to:

• Upload documents that contain illegal, explicit, or highly sensitive restricted material.
• Upload documents that you do not have the right to process or that infringe upon the intellectual property or privacy of others.
• Circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with security-related features of the Services, including any features that prevent or restrict use or enforce usage limits.
• Engage in unauthorised framing of or linking to the Services.
• Interfere with, disrupt, or create an undue burden on the Services or the networks or services connected to the Services.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of any proprietary software used in the Services.
• Use the Services to build a competing product or service.
• Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Services except as expressly permitted under your subscription plan.

7. Subscriptions and Billing

The Services are offered under a freemium model with free and paid subscription tiers.

7.1 Free Tier

The free tier provides limited access to the Services subject to monthly usage quotas (including limits on the number of conversions, pages, and file size). These limits may be adjusted at our discretion.

7.2 Paid Subscriptions

Paid subscriptions provide increased usage limits and access to additional features. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to pay the applicable fees as displayed at the time of purchase.

• Recurring billing: Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on your selected plan). Your payment method will be automatically charged at the start of each billing cycle.
• Price changes: We may change subscription fees upon reasonable notice. Any fee change will take effect at the start of the next billing cycle following the notice.
• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will continue to have access to paid features until the end of that period.
• Refunds: Subscription fees are generally non-refundable. If you believe you have been charged in error, please contact us and we will review your case.

7.3 Usage Quotas

All subscription tiers are subject to monthly usage quotas. Usage quotas reset at the beginning of each calendar month. If you exceed your quota, you will be unable to perform additional conversions until the next reset or until you upgrade your plan.

8. API Terms

We provide an API for programmatic access to the conversion Services. By using the API, you agree to the following additional terms:

• API access requires authentication via an API key generated from your account dashboard.
• You are responsible for keeping your API keys confidential. Any activity performed using your API key is your responsibility.
• API usage is subject to the same usage quotas and limits as your subscription plan.
• You must not share, sell, or transfer your API key to third parties without our written permission.
• We may impose rate limits on API requests to ensure fair usage and system stability.
• We reserve the right to revoke API access if we detect abuse, excessive usage, or violation of these terms.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Services are provided on an as-is and as-available basis. You agree that your use of the Services will be at your sole risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, in connection with the Services and your use thereof, including, without limitation, the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We make no warranties or representations about the accuracy or completeness of the AI-generated output or the Site's content. We will assume no liability or responsibility for any (1) errors, mistakes, or inaccuracies of content and materials, (2) personal injury or property damage, of any nature whatsoever, resulting from your access to and use of the Services, or (3) unauthorised access to or use of our secure servers and/or any and all personal information stored therein.

10. Limitation of Liability

In no event will we or our directors, employees, or agents be liable to you or any third party for any direct, indirect, consequential, exemplary, incidental, special, or punitive damages, including lost profit, lost revenue, loss of data, or other damages arising from your use of the Services, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained herein, our liability to you for any cause whatsoever and regardless of the form of the action, will at all times be limited to the amount paid, if any, by you to us during the three (3) month period prior to any cause of action arising. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by applicable law.

11. User Data & Privacy

We care about data privacy and security. Please review our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.

PDF documents are processed in memory only and are not permanently stored. Only Markdown output and extracted metadata are stored in our database to provide your conversion history. We do not use your documents to train AI models. You agree that we shall have no liability to you for any loss or corruption of data, and you hereby waive any right of action against us arising from any such loss or corruption.

12. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Services at our sole discretion, without prior notice, if we reasonably believe that:

• You have violated these Terms of Use.
• Your use of the Services poses a security risk or may cause harm to other users or the Services.
• Your account has been used for fraudulent or illegal activity.
• You have not used your account for an extended period (12 months or more).

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at kylegreig93@gmail.com. Upon termination, your right to use the Services will cease immediately, and we will delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

13. Governing Law

These conditions are governed by and interpreted following the laws of England and Wales. Both you and Kyle Greig (trading as BlazeDocs) irrevocably consent that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to resolve any dispute which may arise in connection with these terms.
